Isabelle Richard

We welcomed Isabelle as our Director of Sustainable Development three years ago. We needed her vision and expertise to make sure that mining is done with environmental protection in mind. Here’s what she does and how she helps us every day.

Her expertise in action

At InnovExplo, Isabelle is mainly involved in installing and implementing environmental management, health and safety and community relations systems. She also provides practical assistance to mining companies, helping them manage their environmental and social responsibilities and the risks associated with mining. She is actively involved in the implementation of the Mining Association of Canada’s Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative.

Thanks to her knowledge and extensive field experience, Isabelle is a valuable asset, ensuring that mining companies preserve wildlife and promote the well-being of their employees and nearby communities.

An interesting career path

Isabelle has successfully placed environmental protection and maintaining close links with stakeholders at the heart of mining priorities, which is of paramount importance to us. She draws on her more than 25 years of experience in environmental project management and specialized teams in related fields (contaminated land, sustainable development, hydrogeology, geotechnics, mining, water treatment, etc.) on a daily basis. Our clients are as happy as we are to work with her!

An integrated approach

Isabelle also brings a global vision of projects to InnovExplo, allowing her to develop an integrated approach. She uses this approach with clients, supporting them tirelessly in their TSM efforts. The quality of her support is obviously one of her greatest strengths, and it reflects well on the company!

In fact, working with clients to achieve their sustainable development objectives is what she loves most about her work! Her message to our clients is: “Don’t forget to involve the communities. Their contribution is essential to the success of your projects.” To her, collaboration is key!
